Creosote is an oil-based chemical that is applied to timber with heat and pressure. It has excellent preservative characteristics and has been used for many years
CCA (Copper Chrome Arsenate) is a concentrate that is mixed with water and applied through pressure at ambient temperatures. Many prefer CCA due to its cleaner and easier handling. CCA doesn’t leave a residue or a smell that is associated with Creosote (Transmission Poles)
